On October 10, 2021 Kimberly made her first appearance as the SNL host. The couple were seen kicking off the New Year with each other’s company at the Bahamas. Pete Davidson Officially Calls Kim Kardashian his “Girlfriend”
On February 7, 2022 Pete had an interview with People (The Interview Show). The SNL star was asked about how he spends his day and how he’s dealing with the spotlight. “Well, I don’t really have Instagram — I don’t have Instagram or Twitter or any of that stuff. So, most of my daily life is getting into cars and showing up to a set,” Pete said. “Or, if I’m off, I just either hang with my friends or chill with my girlfriend inside. So I don’t do much,” he confirmed.

The couple made their first official instagram post together on March 11, 2022 where Kim Kardashian posted two candids with Davidson with the caption “Whose car are we gonna take?!” The post received more than 1.9 million likes within an hour of it being uploaded. All while the romance was blossoming on one side, the ex did have “some” words to say to the new couple. Kanye made public posts degrading the relationship between his ex wife and Pete. While this might have been entertaining for the public but that was not so for the involved parties.
This was seen when the text messages exchanged between Pete and Kanye were leaked. “Yo it’s Skete, Can you please take a second and calm down,” Davidson allegedly wrote. “It’s 8am and it don’t gotta be like this. Kim is literally the best mother I’ve ever met. What she does for those kids is amazing and you are so f—king lucky that she’s your kids mom. I’ve decided I’m not gonna let you treat us this way anymore and I’m done being quiet. Grow the f—k up.”
Pete has Branded Himself With Tattoos for Kim
In a recent interview with Kim Kardashian on The Ellen Show, Kimberly admitted that Pete has gotten some tattoos dedicated towards her. The first was the infamous “my girl is a lawyer” tattoo on Pete’s clavicle which went viral. Later he got another tattoo for Kim’s kids which had their initials “KNSCP” that stood for “Kim, North, Saint, Chicago, Psalm.” Under the initials Pete got his third tattoo of “Alladin + Jasmine” in the context of their SNL skit where the relationship initially sparked from and lastly he branded himself with a simple “KIM” on his chest.
The MET Gala 2022
Pete Davidson and Kim Kardashian made a few appearances both on and off the screen, from attending the ‘The Kardashians’ premiere to attending their first red carpet event at Washington, D.C. but the most iconic of them all was definitely the MET Gala where they made their first debut as a couple. Kim pulled up in Marilyn Monroe’s iconic custom-made Jean Louis dress, which is covered in crystals and reportedly valued at around USD $5 million and Pete wore a classic black suit. The couple later celebrated the night with “carbs” as seen in the instagram stories posted by Kim.
Kim Made the First Move? Could the Relationship Have Started Much Earlier?
After the show premiered, the fans were eagerly waiting to know how the relationship actually started. The fans got what they wanted on episode 8 of Hulu’s The Kardashians, but it was far from what was expected.
“So, this is how it went down with me and Pete. I did Saturday Night Live and then when we kissed in a scene it was just a vibe. I was like, ‘Oh s–t. Maybe I just need to try something different.’ But (he) does not come to my afterparty and everyone was at my afterparty. He is not giving me the time of day,” Kim explained.
“So, a few days later I called the producer at SNL and was like, ‘Hey, do you have Pete’s number?’ I text him,” she added. “I wasn’t even thinking, ‘I am going to be in a relationship with him.’ I was just thinking, ‘Heard about this BDE, I need to get out there.’ I was basically DTF.
Although Kim was the first one to make the move this time but turned out that Pete Davidson had already reached out to friend and actress Megan Fox much earlier.
“After we got together and it was a thing, Megan Fox texts me and is like, ‘Is this s— for real?” she explained. “Because he asked me for your number months ago, and I was like, ‘Dude, you have a better shot (of) me and MGK (Machine Gun Kelly) getting eaten by crocodiles than you ever getting her number. Never gonna happen, do not ask us.’ ”
Did the Unconventional Relationship Run its Course?
In the beginning of August, 2022 rumors spread regarding the couple splitting up. E! News reported that the couple has officially ended things. Both had busy schedules which made it difficult to travel to each other all the time. Some sources also stated that Kim needed to spend some time with her four kids and balancing a love life was getting hard.
One month after the split Kimberly was seen calling Pete a “cutie” when she sat with the Interview Magazine.“He’s a cutie. He’s literally such a good person, they don’t really make them like him anymore,” Kim said. “I’m excited for what he has coming up.”
Lovers, Friends or Acquaintances?
Following the breakup fans suspected that Pete had gotten his tattoos removed that were dedicated to Kim Kardashian when the comedian was seen with a bandage covering the area where he has the “my girl is a lawyer” tattoo. Later the shirtless pictures clicked by photographers of Pete proved that he in fact has gotten all the tattoos removed.
Inside the MET Gala 2023, though both Kim and Pete were seen talking to Usher together which showed that the two carry no bad blood for each other. Both continue to respect and support each other’s work and now are focusing on their own selves and working on their respective work.
